PEERYXNETWORK

Router VM · AS213382

Your BGP router on a Peeryx VM.

Run a virtual router, connect your network and keep control of your routing policies. Choose the resources you need; activate the included BGP service after delivery and ASN verification.

How the price is calculated
Per vCPU
€3.00
Per GB RAM
€2.00
Per extra Gbps above 1 Gbps
€2.50
Per extra IPv4 address
€1.30

Monthly minimum: €15.00. It applies when the total for the selected resources is lower.

What is included

Monthly traffic

BGP activation
Included after ASN verification

The allowance counts incoming and outgoing traffic together, in decimal TB. This is a traffic-volume allowance, not a 95th-percentile bandwidth commit.

Traffic above the included allowance: €3.90 per TB. Check usage and the applicable billing period in the client portal.

Once the allowance is exceeded, the current quota policy limits the port to 200 Mbps. Contact support about extra traffic and restoring the normal limit; do not assume an automatic reset.

Port speed is the configured limit, not a guaranteed packet-processing rate. Routing throughput depends on the image, CPU load, packet sizes, tunnels and filtering rules.

BGP, with a clear activation sequence

  1. Create the VM

Select an available location and image, confirm the resources and complete the order in the client portal.

  2. Verify your ASN

After delivery, verify ASN ownership from the VM panel. The included service supports IPv4 and IPv6 address families, subject to the delivered network configuration.

  3. Configure and test

Use the delivered peer parameters, authorize the intended prefixes and test reachability and return traffic. Review the route policy before moving live services.

The included BGP service is for your verified ASN. An AS-SET or downstream-AS resale requires a separately eligible Transit offer; it is not unlocked by increasing VM CPU or RAM.

Choose an image that fits your routing

The portal offers Linux and router/firewall images according to location and availability, including Debian, Ubuntu, MikroTik CHR, VyOS and OPNsense. Confirm image and licence conditions when ordering. An available image does not certify a particular routing or filtering performance.

VM, dedicated router or filtering software?

Router VM
A virtual routing endpoint, tunnels and BGP policies within the selected resources.
Protected IP Transit
A separate bandwidth commit and network delivery for your prefixes. Choose this when you need a Transit service rather than VM resources.
Defense Fabric
Licensed filtering software for your own qualified servers and network links. It is a separate product from the router VM.

Questions

Does the advertised price include BGP?

The VM Router includes BGP activation after delivery and ASN ownership verification. There is no separate BGP setup fee in the current VM order path. Extra network services remain subject to their own offer.

Is a 10 Gbps port guaranteed to route 10 Gbps?

No. It is a configured port limit. Small packets, encryption, tunnels, routing software and CPU contention affect usable throughput. Test your workload before relying on that rate.

Can I bring my own ASN and prefixes?

Yes, after ASN verification and validation of the intended announcements. Configure only the prefixes authorized for your service. The included VM BGP service does not grant an AS-SET or downstream-AS resale entitlement.

Can this VM replace a dedicated filtering server?

It can provide routing and run compatible software within its resources. It does not provide dedicated CPU/NIC ownership or a certified high-PPS filtering capacity. Use a qualified dedicated design for those requirements.

Is network protection the same as a Defense Fabric licence?

No. The VM is connected to the Peeryx network under its service conditions. Defense Fabric is separately licensed software deployed on your own filtering servers.

Does changing this estimate order a VM?

No. The public estimator does not create a service or charge your account. You can send the configuration for review or select your final configuration in the client portal.
